I am happy you did get a healthy dog from Ms.McCabe. A girl I spoke with bought one from her had it three weeks, had to take it to the vet twice because it was sick..a girl at the vets office said there was a pup brought in, she was sure it came from her that was sick as well. I spoke to her Vet he said he seen alot of Respiratory problems with her dogs. I was new looking for a nice male for breeding. Wish I had found YT sooner because I would have never bought a dog from her in the first place. She lives way out in the boonies, most of her dogs are kept outside in wire cages. Several dogs to a cage. I think she said the shed was heated. I don't know if it was or not, some dogs had black ears, one had part of its ear missing. The first dog she try to sell to me had only one testie, I told her he could not be used for breeding. She seem surprised ..she didn't know the dog only had one testie. She then tried to sell me a dog that was to big for what I wanted, Then she tried to sell me a pup that was coughing and sick. All of this should have been warnings.. but I didn't listen to those warnings. She show me a little male that was 5 month old and he was a nice looking dog. I had him two months he started to have sever seizure. I call to tell her about the dog and her response was
" Well I don't know what to tell you" she never ask about how the dog was doing, Never call the vets office to ask about the dog or to ask if it was something in her line. Would never answer the phone again when we tried to call. Our vet seem to think it was a strong possibility of breeding a half brother/half sister together that caused the seizures. She is still using the male for breeding the dogs name is Bam Bam he is on her website
( www.delmacyorkies.com ) under sires. She is not someone I would recommend to anyone. I paid 800 for the dog and spent over 500 getting him lined out..then gave him away to a good home because he could not be used for breeding. The new owner had to get him fixed before I would release his papers to them. IMO I don't feel I got the Top Quality Healthy Yorkie she advertises.
