I bought my baby boy, Monster, at a pet store. The seller swore up and down that he didn't come from a puppy mill. When he was 10 months old, I noticed something wrong with his back legs. Turns out he had severe degenerative arthritis in both hips, both kneecaps luxated, and an open fontanel. He was in a lot of pain but still managed to be loving and fun. He went in for surgery and died when his heart fibrillated. I did a lot of research and found out that the seller lied. I also learned a lot about the death camps where these poor pups and their parents have to live. I'm haunted by the thought of Monster's parents and all the other dogs suffering in the mills. I intend to fight to put the mills and the pet stores out of business, but for now all I can do is cry. |
