I crate my dogs. Xena was brought up in a crate so she's fine because she knows when we leave she gets a huge knuckle bone

. Gigi is now crate-trained but gets anxious when we leave so I take her for a nice 30-minute walk, give her a bone and into the crate. The walk gets her exhausted. I don't allow my dogs to have the run of the house. My last dog chewed up a brand new, very expensive pair of spiked heels

. They are either with one of the family members, which is where they want to be anyway, or crated.
