I have Teddy I believe on what they call the basic plan.
It was the better of the 2 they offered...The reasoning
behind that was it included his neuter in that plan. We
have had pretty good results with the insurance that
Banfield offers. There have been a few issues that have
come up for instance my vet told me that he must be
neutered before he is 6 months old for the plan to cover
it. Hmmmmm......I don't like that because he has barely
begun losing his baby teeth and I know from these boards
that they like to pull the remaining teeth at the same time
as they neuter in most cases. I just don't understand the
rush on their part or the cut off of benefits? One of the
things I do like the most is that if anything ever comes
up being he is on the plan they will always fit him in and
see him almost immediately. I could have him seen every
day if I would like as there is no limit to the office visits.
Actually in the beginning when he was a very sick little boy
he was seen daily. They also keep a running tally of what
your saving are and to date I have saved almost $600.00
which averages out to about $200 per month! I am sure
the service varies from area to area but in our case I am
glad that I purchased it. I am not aware of a web sight
but I have another vet appointment on Friday and I will
ask and forward it if I get the information.
