Hi....the first time I clicked on this, the pertinent info did not come up. The second time, complaints about Brushy Creek did appear. Maybe this happened to you too....try clicking again. I think Crissy posted it because you were asking for REAL stories from people who had negative experiences with Brushy Creek.
Welcome to YT. You don't need to feel defensive about where you got your dogs. Many of us here purchased dogs from places or people that we since found out were not the best. But all dogs are loved and accepted here. Live and learn. That said, I'm glad for you that your experience was a good one.
However, you have to understand that Brushy Creek, as with Jeff Dane's kennel/mill in NE TX, has a big reputation among those in the know. I personally have talked to many people who received sick dogs from Jeff Dane, who have never set foot in Yorkie Talk. Just because people aren't here posting on this thread, doesn't mean they're not OUT THERE.
And in particular, esp. since Brushy Creek breeds so many different kinds of dogs, not all their customers would be on a yorkie board. Or not everyone shares their personal experiences on the net. But the stories are out there, and we hear them....and once you hear so many stories saying the same thing, it gets to be hard to pass off as a fluke.
Again, I'm happy that you personally did not have a bad experience.
