OMG Yorkiemalt. I am so happy that Phoebi is OK. How horrible! I hope those people are paying for the Vet bills?
...anyway to the OP - First, Yorkiemalt is awesome! She can really answer any questions about LP - she is a great gal
Second about my experience:
I just went thru LP surgery with Roxy. $3000 for both rear legs at the same time. Her left leg did not stablize and we just finished the recovery for that 2nd surgery $600. Both legs are now stablized.
TJ her 1/2 brother - also needs to have LP surgery in both rear legs. His will be in the summer when we have the $ for it. hahaha
We live in NY and everything here is expensive. I have also heard that some never need the surgery and some areas the surgery is not as expensive.
Roxy and TJ are our world. We would some how find a way for anything they need. We are their parents and they are our children. The love that is shared has NO PRICE TAG.
Sometimes I cry thinking about what if I never got these two. I cry thinking that they could of gone to someone that doesn't give a s*** about their health and well being. Then I cry for all those babies out their suffering b/c there are so many non-caring people who think they are good pet owners.

It takes some patience and love, but it is do-able
