i know yorkies are known to be very protective and particular about the people they let near them and their owners..... as for the scratching, my yorkie pup has been doing the same thing (no fleas) maybe it is the time of year (i know my moms dogs always get really bad skin at this time of year) or allergies? i've been looking into getting toby some new shampoo ( i have been using the puppy tearless and i would like to continue using this but maybe i could also use something that moisturizes the skin??? any ideas would be appreciated).....
Now, as for the bahavior agression with the kids.... maybe you could introduce interaction very slowly and have the kids give the dog treats when they first come in, this would associate the visit with "happy things" and maybe over time the agression will cease. |
