Default Please Wait on the Steroids

Hi! I admit that I do not know your entire itching history, but please wait on the steroids. Using them may bring a whole different set of health related conditions.

Please change her food, first. Cook for her. It's easy. Give just lightly cooked meats at first, raw later. Use grated vegetables. No grains at all. Use lentils and beans instead. Some dogs cannot tolerate red fish, but do well on white fish; some cannot tolerate fish oils, but do well on ground whole flaxseed. Get a great daily vitamin, preferably from whole food sources. I use THORNE RESEARCH BASIC CANINE NUTRIENTS. Try this for just one month to see if it makes a difference.

Also, the itching could be psychological. She may need to "calm down" with natural or homeopathic remedies. I use chammomile tea and ARK NATURALS HAPPY TRAVELER. You may also buy doggie Tryptophan at ROBBINS NATURAL PET CARE.

As a last resort before steroids, please visit a holistic vet. They can give you so much more advice and alternate treatments.

I know what you're going through. My "itchball" is better on an organic home-cooked diet.

My prayers are with you and Cali.
