WEll that is just a nasty story...but I wanted to let you know that I was told by my vet, when Baby had tapeworms, that they are most commonly transmited from rodents, cats (b/c they eat rodents) and eating poop from either of the previous. Tape worms are a nasty thing as they externilize themselves on your baby's bum, so I'm not sure about testing, we realized after I was one on Baby's bum and took her in immediatley. The fix is a simple pill. But sorry not trying to scare you...just spread some advice I for from the vet! Good luck!
