From my expreience I have found that Yorkies are quite adaptable. Given plenty of time and patience and "room" they adjust and adapt to new environments quite well. I recently became the proud mommy to one very shy little boy, Kiko. He was so very nervous.....I gave him the chance to "be a dog" to run with the other yorkies, to go to the barn and join in the "chase the barn kitty" game, to snack on and roll in poop of all shapes and sizes AND most of all I gave Kiko some time and space to figure out exactly who HE was. The little dude who was a shivering mass of nervousness when he came to live me on Thanksgiving Eve is now a very self confident young adult who has that typical Yorkie "live life tot he fullest" personality.
