Yep! The Toto is easily spooked too! As long as we hold her she is fine but if she is on the floor and gets frightened by loud noises or any startling sound she almost climbs right up our leg! She is OK with most children but there are some and actually a few adults that she shys away from!
It's really uncanny how they "know" ... last summer my brother [who lives in CA] came to visit ... he and his wife have two terriers and are dog lovers ... my other brother is a jerk and hates all animals. They both came over to visit my Mom and Toto lept right into the lap of the brother from CA and avoided the jerk brother like the plague!!!
