regarding tips. Unlike many, I will not tip "just because" in order not to appear cheap. I won't tip someone who seems to hate their job, and makes us feel like it's a favor to serve. Yes, waiting tables is hard work - but, it's a choice. If ya don't wanna do it -then do something else. By the same standard, I'm very generous if the waiter/waitress is pleasant and attentive - making our time spent at his/her station a pleasant experience.
