"just a dog"......I have never loved a dog like I loved my kids until Yorkies. Well, maybe one but that was 33 years ago and I've lived a hard life since then and don't remember. I have had lots of "just a dog"s since then. These Yorkies have personalities just like people, the only difference is they don't think like people. Well, and I guess they're more hairy.
I think I have had the opinion that that's "just a dog" and wondered why people would or how they could treat their dogs like human children. I don't know if I just haven't run into a dog that struck me that close or if I've been too busy trying to survive to get that close to a dog. I really think it's the Yorkie breed, tho.
My first, Pirogue, is his own person. He's not what I wanted, HE chooses when we cuddle or love, and still I love him more than you could imagine. But it is so aggravating to want to hold him and kiss him and all he wants is to get away, it hurts.
Got off the point here, didn't I. LOL I don't think it would do any good to say anything directly to the girl. I would say something to her boss because, as in my case if it were to happen to me, it would run off customers. To some people dogs are just dogs, but anyone who owns (or is owned by) a Yorkie and truely loves them would be offended by this remark. (This includes you other pet owned lovers. No offense meant. It just seems to be more Yorkie owners than others by percentage.) {I don't think it would do any good to say anything directly to the girl.} I didn't mean this as it sounds, what I meant was that I would be so upset that I'd say the wrong thing and possibly cause an arguement.
