I considered this for my boys but didn't go with it. I know some people swear by EVO but I think the protein level is too high also. I asked about this at 2 different shops and both of them told me they didn't think it was a good idea for a small dog to have that much. Also, one store employee told me she thought it was too new to really know much about what affects the higher protein levels can produce in small dogs and she wouldn't feed it to her dogs until she knew more. Some will argue that the protein source is what it's all about and if it's a good source then it's fine but it just seems too high for my comfort level regardless of where the protein comes from...but that's just my opinion.
