She will get the hang of it. Hope some of this helps you. And yes my little 4 month old can hold it for quite a while. Last week I started putting her in a small carrier (hard plastic) and placing her by our bed and so far she has held it from 11:00 pm until 7:00 am without an accident. my other 2 yorkies sleep with us and I am trying to get her to where she can join them. Good thing we have a king size bed!. The only real accidents she has had, has been happy pees. She just gets so excited to see us when we get back home that she looses it sometimes.
