Well, I did my homework a little to late. Got her from Nancy Pack of PacksPups in Wood River, NE. Someone did a search on her and her website stated she had 13 diff. breeds. When I questioned the breeder she stated that she had partnered with two others to have that many breeds. I also noticed she is listed on that USDA list of breeders. The pup I got is APR reg. (which I am now understanding is pretty worthless). I got some song and dance about how AKC has become to difficult to work with so a lot of breeders are no longer using them. Also, their fees are so high. But I paid $1,500 for this little girl. Two weeks before X-mas she supposedly weighed just a little over a pound. Two weeks later (a few days after X-mas) I drove and picked her up and took her for her vet check. She (only two wks. later from weighing a lb.) weighed a whopping 2 lbs. The vet said there is no way for a dog that tiny to gain a whole pound in one week. The vet (not my reg. vet) guessed her age to be more in line with 12 wks. based on her teeth. I had posted that here and some responded that their Yorkie's teeth came in slow. The vet didn't say for sure, just told me that had I come in not knowing the age that is what he would have guessed. She has kennel cough, worms, and coccidia. The breeder did recently refund me $250 for her vet bills. When I picked her up I did noticed kennel buildings at the back of her property. My dog was nervous, didn't know how to love, be held, play, etc. She is a fast learner. Loves to sleep in the bed with me. LOL.
Sorry about the novel, grab a pop and read away. LOL
