I would be very mad also. But now you have to think about it.....if that is how they TALKED about your Maximus and that is how they told you he would be TREATED while waiting, how do you think he is going to feel about THEM doing his ears? If you can do all but the ears, here is a wonderful suggestion that will have way more than a 50% chance of working....ready....put him on your washer or dryer to do the ears or anything else you need him to hold still for. You will notice that because they aren't in the comfort of your arms or lap, and becuase they do not have good footing (too slippery on those machines), they will "freeze". I have never had a pet be traumatized or anything even close by doing this. It is the same as a grooming table if you don't have one. I don't think you'll every see a grooming table with some plush carpet (LOL). Great place for trimming hair, nails, ears, etc. If you want to try it, please let me know how it goes for you. My Mom's Yorkies act up quite a bit when it is time to do the necessaries and I suggested this to her. It worked immediately!
