I am glad you had a positive experience, obviously not all pets are killed or injured during the course of their flight. However don't assume that just because your pets survived the flight that ALL do! I don't know why you would accuse people of lying about this, it is important for pet owners do be aware of what risks are involved and whether the risks are worth taking. In my own opinion, the risk is not worth taking and I would only get a puppy if it could be flown under the seat with me or my spouse or I would drive.
