well, honestly.. it all depends on the trainer.. usually petsmart has two or three trainers who just rotate various classes... so go and see how each teaches and find one you love... we did! while they do not focus much on potty training (that is usually in the Puppy Class) they are VERY knowledgbale, however i don't think they will say anything differerent from what you will read on here... crate him until you can trust him... all day if you have to.. let him out to pee.. if he doens't .. back in the crate (with very limited space in it) when he does his buisness HUGE PARTY and praise and then play time... then back out again.. after a while you will know his schedual and be able to predict when he has to go.. but you said he moved. and a lot of ppl on here willl tell you that their dogs regressed with pottying when they moved. as far as socialization.. that is one of their MAIN goals.. we had a schnauzer in our class who was the WORST i had seen.. he barked the whole time and attacked... his :Parents: quit so i don't know what happened.. but if this is the case with your pup.. don't give up and don't feel bad.. one bi*ch in our class complained the whole time about the dog, but he dind't know any better and was scared.. so go check them out and find a trainer you love and tell him/her adhead of time your situation.. maybe you can get in a class that only has 1 or 2 others to start with .. usually they have a wipe board up with when classes are.. and there is sometimes a number circled and that is how many have signed up.. good luck and let us know how it goes.
