Amber you're welcome ....I know you're really upset....
it's my understanding that even dogs drinking from stale water or water that carries the cysts can catch it - it's a pretty nasty organism - but the upside it they know she has it and she's getting treated - I guess it's hard to detect....

I wish there was more info about what to expect after she gets better but your vet can tell you ....but try to relax and just keep thinking positive thoughts...from what I read some dogs can have it and not ever have it again -
