Smile hello! im new to the forum!

hello everyone, what a wonderful site you have here! and such a loving community! My name is Jodie from south east England. I joined because i am considering a Yorkie as my dog of choice! MY exams finish in June, afterwhich i will be out of the house for an hour a week, studying for a science exam. i would like to find part time work also,to help with the bills.

i will be living in a flat with my boyfriend. i have alot of spare time, and would love to share my life with someone who loves me back, i can take care for, and look after and get so much happiness from. i enjoy walking, by myself just to get fresh air and have a look around.

my boyfriend works long hours 5am-6pm and im alone most of the time. My mum is very opinionated and the only impression she gave of yorkies was they they were snappy and irritating. ive been looking at the right sort of dog for me, size, exercise and housing wise. would it be true to say that this is the right dog for my circumstances?

i am not rushing into anything, and am reading as much as i can about yorkies! i wont be getting one for at least 5 months. a few questions i have for you:

what is the maxiumum time you leave your yorkie alone for?

is it ok to keep their fur short? ( i prefer them with short hair on the body)

Are they adaptable to change ( i am wanting to take my yorkie to as many places as me! )

Also are there any Uk members here?

thank you for all your help
