My main problem, with ANY diet, is I don't like very much stuff. Examples...I love veggies, cooked or raw, but I'm not much on any kind of fruit. I think my biggest problem is I eat the wrong things and too much of it. I love pizza, meat and potatoes and I just over eat. I did try at one time to buy one of every fruit in the market. There is just not much I like besides apples and bananas. Does anyone have any advice? |
You sound a lot like me! This is not the first time I have joined WW but it is the first time I have "done" it if you know what I mean. I am looking at it in a whole new way and like I mentioned before that is as a lifestyle change and not a diet. I truly don't feel like I am on a diet. I eat whatever I want staying within my points. I like apples, bananas and I am becoming fond of pears. I also like mandarin orange sections-the Dole cups. They are packed in light syrup but I drain and rinse them and add them to my yogurt. I struggle with getting my five fruits and vegs in (mainly vegs

) but I manage.
This time around I am not filling my pantry with a bunch of FF crap that I don't like the taste of anyway. I am eating mostly all regular foods. I am learning to make good choices and correct porportions. This is the stuff that's going to get me through the rest of my life, not the FF stuff. I know what you mean by eating the "wrong stuff" but I have found that once I figure out the point value of something I either think

noway, I'm not going to waste my points on that or Hmmmm, that's not as bad as I thought! I'm learning. Oh something else I really enjoy and it is an easy way to get 2 glasses of water down--I make slushies! I use crystal light or 4C drink mix. I make the drink and then add it to ice in my Magic Bullet (blender) and wahla! I will really enjoy these this summer!
I didn't get this way overnight and I am not going to get thinner overnight either. Oh, the other thing I do is only weigh myself on weigh in days and NO more. I exercise to Walk Away the Pounds (Leslie Sansone) These are great!

3 cheers for all of us losers (that's water in that glass by the way

)
I find that this time around I feel success instead of self defeating myself. I am usually my own worst enemy. I will win this time!
