if I can recall, my vet suggested to start the flea and tick treatments at around 11 weeks. You are supposed to treat your pup every single month of the year, preferably the same day each month. You use the medication to prevent fleas, not just to cure it. The effectiveness of the treatment lasts only up to 30 days. I use Frontline Plus for toy breeds and small dogs. It works great for my comet!
