For what it is worth, my Yorkiebook said most good breeders will not let go of a pup for 10wks. I got my first from Atlanta, Ga., I'm in Fl. I asked all the right questions, looked at the parents and did not pay until I interacted with Chloe. That is important because a well socialized dog is a better pet. Anyway, I love her to pieces, she's a great dog but she is larger than I wanted, about 7lbs, with light, cottony coat. The next one I purchased, I paid more than I should have but I have a small, 5lb, silky coat, short legged yorkie. So, actually seeing the parents isn't much help, Chloe's were 6lbs. I don't regret either one, all I am saying is be aware that unless you get a full history, including grandparents and are sure, all puppies look the same to most people and frankly, although many would disagree, that price isn't a lot for a smaller yorkie, in my opinion. My smaller yorkie has a champion sire and I got what I wanted. For a pet, Chloe is the better dog. She is smart and isn't as fragile. Lacey is small and cute as a bug but is scared of her shadow. To me, unless you want to show, just be sure there is no health issue and you go into it with your eyes open and don't picture one of those little ones you see on TV.
