When I got my two girls, (first one, then 3 & 1/2 months later, the other one) I put them in the doggie fence with attached water and crate, then added a couple of toys and chewy's and a wee-wee pad. We never slept with them, so at night they could play, drink and pee when they wanted.
Zada turned 2 Dec. 5th and Azrael will be two tomorrow Jan.16th 07. When my husband went to Alaska on business the middle of October for 7 weeks I decided to put the girls in bed with me for company. They did perfectly! I slept with them the entire time my husband was gone and when he got back I didn't have the heart to put them back into the kitchen area at night, so they are still sleeping with us. I love it, and so does he. Their last meal for the day is at 4 oclock and the water stays down till we go to bed anywhere from 9 to 10. They have never bothered us to get up. I think the fact they were trained in their own area for so long has done the trick.
