Bella had the same thing happen when she tried to jump up on the couch and didn't make it. She must have landed wrong and came down and let out some ear piercing yelps
and wouldn't let me touch it. I rushed her to the vet, fearing the worst, they sedated her and did x rays and found nothing wrong. The vet gave me some anti-inflamatory for her for a week and she stayed sore for a while. The vet said not to let her run around, yeah right!! That was about 3 months ago and to this day she holds it up at times when she runs, but is fine other than that. It may take some time, but I'm sure your baby will come around.
It is the most gut wrenching feeling when they hurt themselves and you don't know what is wrong. I cried more than she did!
