DO NOT ever feed only twice a day especially under a year of age. He need dry food down all the time. It could very well by hypglycemia. It is not an age specific problem.
Sometimes they can shake if they are in pain. However, if he stops shaking when he is fed, my bet is that he is not keeping his blood sugar up enough with what you feeding him.
