Can dogs get addicted to pain medications? I have a little dog (around 3lbs.) that has been taking pain medications due to having to have surgery. She is only allowed to take it 2x's a day but has been waking me up every morning around 5 and begging for her meds. She is sitting up and twirling around for it. Before I can get it in her mouth she licks it all out of the syringe. Do you think that she's addicted to it? She's constantly begging/crying for it.
