I am hoping it a sprain... Xrays are so expensive...He is now laying down on it, and when he tries to walk he tries to put pressure on it....Any suggestions? can I just soak his leg in Epsom salt? Kodak sprained a joint jumping around last year and I called the emergency vet because he was limping. They suggested I wait it out a day and not let him move around so he wouldn't put pressure on it. They said if it was broken he would be in extreme pain. I waited a day and went in to the vet and they didn't do any xrays after moving it around and squeezing on it. They said it just appeared sprained and he would be ok. They gave him some pain pills and he was ok. But that's not the case all the time so it's best to be safe and take him in.
