No contract nothing in writing. I would think the owner of the stud would be obligated therefore to sign the litter registration anyway as the owner of the stud. You could contact the AKC and ask what to do. You can provide the name, address and phone number of the breeder and any other info that you do have.
For future information, when doing a stud service is involved with someone else, terms of the contract should be provided and laid out including In the event......... ON the contract should be the registered name and registration numbers of both sire and the dam he is breeding. Name of both breeders should also be there, dated for dates of mating and signatures.
