I was having trouble getting Copper to let me comb him. I saw someplace where if you put a T-Shirt on them that they will calm down some. It seems to have helped a little. I bought a boar bristle (small) brush from Sally's Beauty Supply and Copper lets me use that pretty well. It doesn't get deep mats out, but at least gets him used to being combed...when he calms down a bit, I use the metal comb and brush on him. I found a small flea type comb with no handle that I use to get around his eyes...seems that the smallness of it doesn't scare him as much as the one with the handle (around his face).
