Yes, I think they'd be ok 8-5. I know a lot of people don't like to do that, but Sadie stays home for that long every day. If I could come home at lunch, I would, but it's just not possible for me to do (time restraints). I leave her a pad in the bathroom. Most days she holds it, but sometimes she will go on her pad. Honestly, she just sleeps the whole day away. I leave a radio on for her and some toys around. Most days, the toys are in the same place when I get home as when I left which tells me that she just sleeps.
