Something cool to keep in mind... I felt like a total dork after my third shopping trip.... Buying nuts inbulk... lol I was buying walnut halves and whole cashews, well, a couple of bins away were the cashew peices... I thoought hmmm... rejects... and went on my way... well I was at home grinding up my perfect whole cashews that I paid a premiun for.. when it occured to me
Those rejects are half the price!
boy did I feel stupid.
on my next shopping trip, I hit the peices bin and found that they were just nuts that were broken during the sorting process or whatever.. but they were perfectly good nuts! lol just not as "Fancy" as the ones I was buying
duh. how silly! So buy broken nuts!
If you have a health food store, call and see if they have "bulk bins" or search online for bulk nuts, see if anyone wants to go in on some with ya... depending on where ya live you can get things at better prices!
Anyone who finds a good deal... Please post... I'm always looking for a good deal!
Oh and check it out! I so am getting my dehydrator! my aunt gave me 100 and my mom called tonight and asked me if I would be offended if she gave me cash instead of a birthday present
... offended??? No way! So she said she was sorry that she could not do more, but would be dropping off 100 on thurday and was that ok.... OK??? lol I was thrilled!!! I swear she was nutz! I was so jazzed!!!! She really thought I was going to be upset! (cause its my sisters 30th this year and everyone is saving for her knock out party and her BIG gifts!!!! I'm not the jealous type... I had my BIG 30 two years ago... well almost, I'll be 32 this year... )
So I'll be making big matts with seed cheese before you know it!!!!
