He does look sad in the third pic. I have a little drama king that always pouts after he gets a trim, but he has gotten better.
You reminded me of my grandmother and her toy poodles from the past. She took them to a groomer religiously and sometimes she would say things like "what was she thinking using THOSE bows?" Sometimes she'd get lucky and they'd get a small, cute one on each ear, but sometimes...not so pretty!
You have a cute boy, and his trim looks nice!
