Shouldn't vets be REQUIRED to check for microchip??? In my humble opinion, it would seem to me that vets should be required to check for microchips in any new animal brought to them since anyone with an animal, sooner or later, must bring them to a vet for treatment. Plus, at least in the case of Yorkies, we all KNOW they need regular vet and grooming appointments. It would seem that if a reward or something could be built into the system then more establishments would scan for microchips and we'd all have a better shot of getting our babies back!. Actually, microchipping human children doesn't seem so farfetched either come to think of it. And to GPS a child? How many abducted children might be found if that became a reality? Am I weird? Just couldn't imagine the anguish, that's all. |
