I do not like the idea people should not get a pet unless we are willing to pay whatever it costs to keep them going for 15 yrs...I had a grooming client who charged $13,000 in one year on her credit card for her sick Yorkie...did it make her a better pet owner then someone who would choose to let theirs go? Not to me it did not...
I have had puppy buyers assure me they would spare no expense to keep my pup alive as long as possible...I expect them to use common sense and I always vote for good quality of life first. I have seen a number of my old Yorkies who should have been put down a year or two before they were, it grieved me to see them that way..I would breathe a big sigh of relief when they finally died...
good point... however I personally feel it is so wrong to make a thread about your yorkie being hit by a car and in the same breathe ask for names for another... I believe that is so wrong and incorrect.. it makes it look and sound like they are just a toy.... which is not the case.. MO.
