Always remember, people don't usually change much. If he hit you he will most likely do it again. You can't change him. Sounds like you both need individual counseling before you go for couple counseling. But sweetie, you and your children deserve better than this. Don't you agree?
I grew up in an abusive home and the after effects stay with you for a long long time into adulthood. It affects your self esteem big time. Don't expose your children for another second if you want them to grow up and be mentally, emotionally and physically healthy adults. They are the innocent victims here. |
