In my learning, just because you have small Yorkies' to start with doesn't mean you are going to have all small. You can get a what is called "throw back" a puppy that doesn't take after the mother and father, but genetically takes from a grandparent, Great grandparent, or maybe further back than that. Just as us humans for instance::::: I look like my father, but my son could pass as a twin!! His graduation picture and his father's graduation picture are almost IDENTICAL! When you figure in mommy and daddy's size, color, and bone structure, you may be right on the puppies they will have a high % of the time, but not always 100%. We have 2 females which are sisters from different litters, and a male for sire. In this we have seen some wonders, and they both this last time had 1 tiny each. When the other pups were 13 ounces, the tiny's were about 4 1/2 ounces and are still about a third the size. We also have one female that produces more milk..MUCH more than the other mother, and her babies are usually bigger that the other's all along, but you can add in baby fat as a consideration, that they will lose as the can get out and exercise, or maybe they won't lose it.. Great question!!!! Hope I have helped. ...justus
