That's about the only thing I can tell you...except you need a "Soft-Sided" carrier because all airline seats are not the same size underneath. A hard carrier might not fit and you certainly don't want to have to put your baby down in the cargo pit if you can avoid it. I used to work for United Airlines and I can tell you that the cabin is much safer for pets.

Thanks for the story - too funny about your parrot

. I was wondering if a soft-sided carrier would work. It looks like you could lay some of them on their side to fit under the seat. I'll start looking for one of those. Thanks everyone who answered that has a larger pet. I'm just not sure how quickly Tink is gonna grow or how big she'll get. She is a rescue baby so I didn't see her parents to get an idea.
And it's good to know that buying her a ticket won't help either

. I really was thinking about that.
I'll check out Nichol Miler carriers too.
