That is soooo funny! I actually did buy a seat for Toto for her first flight!! I just made two reservations ... hers was Toto Miller. I figured if I paid for the seat, they wouldn't care what was sitting in it! I got a little worried and called to double check that it would be OK ... Oh .... they did care! They refunded her ticket and changed her to excess baggage and she had to be under the seat!

We have flown with her dozens of times in her short life and she's a great little traveler. We take the flights that are nonstop and try to get her to tee tee in the bathroom on her pad. The only time I have had success doing this ... some gates have small bathrooms next to them [they are unmarked] and with no distractions, she will go. When we flew back to Colorado on New Year's eve, she wouldn't pee for 12 hours. Our vet says this is OK since it doesn't happen very often but I still worry because it takes her a couple of days to get back on schedule. I usually put a puppy diaper on her and a little fleece onesie because it's cold on the floor. Nice attendants will let us sit the carrier on our lap during flight and give her little sips of water and a little treat which she usually tucks under her blankie for later! Good luck!
