One of my sons raised pits for a couple of years. He had a male, very intelligent, who was well trained and behaved. This dog never had a problem until one day my DIL's cat escaped from the house. Samson killed the cat with 2 shakes. I could never imagine Samson killing anything, he was raised as a pet, but I was wrong and I believe it's in the genes of the pb.
My son no longer raises pits. He gave it up when he and my DIL decided to try to have children......Thank God!!
