So sorry you are having a problem with your new bundle of love. As a breeder myself, I can tell you, unless the breeder has dewormed the mom, the pups will get worms from the milk. I always deworm my females that are coming into heat. Once the puppy is born the first shots and worming should start at 6 weeks, and continue every 3 weeks until they have 3 series of shots. (sometimes when a pup is really small the vet will wait 2-3 weeks until it is large enough to take the shot). You can check with the vet that the breeder took her litter too and they can tell you, when the first shots and worming were given. All shots and worming should have been completed.
As far as kennel cough, this breeder most likely has it in her kennel, maybe even the mom? The kennel cough should not be difficult to clear up.
As far as pricing, 1,500 is still a nominal amount to pay for a tiny especially for a female. A four to five pound yorkie is a perfect size. My Cassie has finally topped 4 lbs and she still looks so small.
What kind of written guarantee did the breeder give you? Did she give you paperwork from her vet showing all shots and procedures completed on this puppy? If the breeder agreed to take her back, then you need to make up your mind soon, as to what is the best avenue for you. I hope everything works out for you and your baby. Keep us informed!
