also, if you are cheap like me and don't want to spend the $50 for hte ones at the mall you can always uses tube socks and rice. we use them at the vets office for patients waking up from surgery. just pop them in the microwave for a few minutes and presto, a portable heating pad for any place on your body. works great for necks, stomachs, and backs.  |
I never though of using rice in a sock. I needed a new one for my back but I also purchased one for my neck because my doctor said that have "stress knots" at the base of my neck. I ordered the ones with a lavender/chamomile scent--hopefully it's not too strong because many fragrances make my nose itch

. If the scent bothers me I guess I'll make my own with rice and socks
