raising nearly 1k in less than 9 hours based on the good will of strangers is pretty amazing. and V is right. there's nothing to defend. some can offer money to support you. some can offer prayers and good vibes. some can offer you advice on how not to make the same mistakes over again. but they can't offer that advice without knowing how you got into your hole. imho, "how did this happen" is a completely valid reason. of course you are also within your rights to protect your privacy and not share the details on a public board, but you can't fault people for asking the question.
