If you look around $1,000-$1,500 or more is what the going rate is for a yorkie that is bought from a BYB or a Puppy Mill.


This is really NOT the case. It depends on what part of the country you live in. I paid 700 for Diesel. His breeder has only gone up 100 dollars. It is very possible to get a very healthy dog that does not cost an arm and a leg. Very Possible. I also think the "going rate" is just nuts. Why is the cost for Yorkies sky high compared to other small dogs.. It is becuase there is a demand for them and breeders know this. Just for the record... I don't liked to be controled when it comes to certain things. This is one of them.

You have to do what you think is right. I have the freedom of shoppig elsewhere.
