Default My puppy has sarcoptic mange

Hi everyone! I never owned a Yorkie before, many dogs, but not a yorkie. I was soooooo excited to get one!!! Well I got my 10 week old puppy and took her to the vet after continually scratching herself to whining! It turns out after having her for 4 weeks, she has sarcoptic mange!!! I was devasted! I am a germ freak, and I have a 16 month old daughter and couldnt/didnt know how to deal with this!
Well, she was put on medicine (ivetermicin or something) once a week for 4 weeks, and a special shampoo twice a week. Well she has had 2 doses of meds, and she has no scratching, no scabs or any clinical signs that she had before of the mange. My vet doesnt want to see her for another 2 weeks. It is killing our family to see her in "isolation" like this. She just cries and whimpers. My question to anyone who has had experience. Do you think after 2 doses and no clinical signs it is safe to play with her and have contact with her again other than putting her out to go to the bathroom.
I have been washing her bedding every night and taking every precaution I have read about on the internet to prevent it from spreading to my family or to continue to get worse on my puppy.
Thanks!!!
Shena is her name
