I remember when I was in an apartment years back, same problem - but I think my paranoia made my dog a good girl. She was 1 when I got her, her owner gave her to me because she stood at the window and barked 'ALL the time'. Silly me for taking her on. Unfortunately, sometimes at apartments, there are ALWAYS people going by. Buffy trained me, I would almost jump out of my skin when she would start. (many complaints to our very nice apt manager.) I would make her "go to the bedroom." Eventually I would say - go to the bedroom'. She would run in there, then she would get on her belly and crawl right back out like she was sneaking, scoot over by my feet and lay down. Good luck with Gucci - persistance does pay off. Thanks for the nostalgic memory. Maybe she is the reason I start early working on barking?
