One good thing about the micro chips are that if for some odd reason your dog gets stolen, You can prove that it does belong to you if you do find it. If some one takes your dog and is discovered it's your word against theirs. In court they won't put you and the theif on opposite ends of the room and have you each call the dog and give him to whomever the dog goes to. Microchipping or tatooing is the easiest way to identify.
