But if you dog isn't chipped it will be a lot harder for anyone to find the owner but if it is at least you've done all you could to try to protect your dog. Yes, there are a lot of people who won't return a dog regardless but there are also a lot of honest people out there who will try to do all they can to find the owner...you should do your part and at least give them the information needed to find you. I couldn't live with myself if mine weren't chipped and they disappeared...I would always wonder if they tried to find me.
