I tried Mia in the crate when we first got her - whining, crying scratching at the crate, needing out to potty. Put her in bed with us and she sleeps all night most of the time, made herself a little 'nest' just above my pillow of her blankie and the pillow that is stuffed in between the mattress & headboard so she doesn't fall through.
When she needs to potty she walks to the corner of the bed closest to the door and sits on my hubby's feet until he wakes up, wakes me up and I take her out. She doesn't make a sound. It's pretty funny.
